Audrey and Virgilio met while in college at UCONN. Through graduating, getting their dream jobs and adopting their pup Flaco – to Virgilio’s proposal at Black Point in Narragansett, RI, where they later had their engagement photos taken.
Their wedding day took place on the perfect September afternoon at the Branford House, located on the UCONN campus in Groton, CT. A beautiful, timeless mansion with a sprawling back lawn overlooking the water. Not too hot, and a light breeze. A full circle kind of day that brought their friends and families together where it all began for them. To know these two, is to love them. Two incredible humans who are just the best to be around, who bring an entirely palpable energy wherever they go. Audrey and Viriglio didn’t lose the smiles on their faces all day and night, just so completely and utterly enamored by each other, and ready to start the rest of their lives.
Their ceremony took place on the back lawn of the mansion, with a gorgeous view of the water. A & V shared their first dance surrounded by their family and friends outside on the portico during golden hour, to Adorn You by Miguel. Inside Branford House is the perfect blend of classic, vintage wedding style with incredible architecture.
Heartfelt speeches were shared from their siblings and special dances with their parents – Virgilio and his mom had everyone up and cheering for their dance together, a salsa to infuse their latin heritage.
Sunset photos were a priority for A & V and we had the perfect early September evening with a colorful sky and a crescent moon. Alone time with your new spouse on your wedding day is SO important. It’s easy to get swept up in the whirlwind of the day. Carving out those moments and taking time to reflect and be together is something I always ensure we have time for in your timeline.
Getting to know my couples is my favorite part of this work. Building a friendship is of the utmost importance. A personal relationship with your photographer is key, I’ll never be just that vendor you hired to show up with a camera on your wedding day. From the day you inquire, through your final gallery delivery, KCP couples are so much more than just my clients. After the wedding day, you’ll have a friend here cheering you on through life and ready to capture those moments to come.
