We had planned a shoot for Abby, Gregg and their dog Jo about a month or so prior. On the morning of their session, Gregg texted me asking “do you want to help me surprise Abby??” I instantly knew what he wanted my help with.
My husband has been good friends with Gregg for years, and we had secretly been talking about when he was going to propose. What better way than to do it as a surprise during some photos?! Needless to say, I was all in to make this happen.
We went to Roger Williams Park and started off taking some photos of Abby, Gregg and their pup on the iron bridge. We made our way to the Japanese Garden where the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. Gregg and Abby were learning sign language together, so he decided to sign words to her, each one making more and more sense. When he signed “marry”, she knew right away what was going on. Gregg pulled the ring from his pocket and the rest is history.
So endlessly thankful to have been a part of something so special, and I am so happy for these two. I cannot wait to document their wedding day.
